Founded in 1931 in Munich as a refrigeration equipment manufacturer, our rise to being known as global experts in commercial cooling and processing is a result of our constant drive to evolve.

Meet our executive team
Christian Weiser
CEO & Board Member
Christian, the CEO of A-HEAT, has been with Güntner for around 30 years. He spent 18 years abroad in Russia, Indonesia, South Africa, and Mexico, building and managing these Güntner entities. Christian looks after Güntner’s strategic and operational direction together with his Board colleagues. He is enthusiastic about driving state-of-the-art manufacturing and working with Güntner executives to ensure the company remains progressive.
ROBERT GERLE
CSO & Board Member
Robert is the CSO of A-HEAT and oversees all global operations in Sales, Marketing and Technology. With more than 30 years of experience, Robert is part of our Güntner story. He is passionate about driving Güntner’s strategic global expansion and brand recognition, while he always strives to challenge the status quo.
Andrea Holzbaur
Managing Director & CFO – Europe
Andrea is the CFO Europe at Güntner, where she leads Finance, HR and IT. Before joining Güntner in 2013, she built up a wealth of experience in various finance-related management roles in the machinery and life sciences industries.
Martin Haug
Managing Director – Europe
As Managing Director Sales & Marketing, Martin is responsible for sustainable growth, with a focus on increasing market share and customer relationships in Europe. He’s worked in refrigeration since 1993, building his career at various companies in a wide range of roles.
michael freiherr
Managing Director & CTO – Europe
As Managing Director R&D and Chief Technical Officer, Michael’s area of expertise is in innovative, smart solutions as well as energy efficiency and sustainability. His background in refrigeration plant construction gives him a deep understanding of refrigeration and HVAC.
miguel garrido
Executive President – USA
As Executive President USA, Miguel is responsible for building Güntner’s reputation with customers in North America. With more than 24 years’ experience in heat transfer processes and technology, he’s a leader in business development, an innovator and enthusiastic international team builder.
javier tamez
Cfo – North and Latin America
Javier leads the Finance and Human Resources group for the North and Latin America region. He joined us in 2009, bringing a wealth of commercial experience gained in the steel and electrical components industries.
michael schmid
CSO – Latin America & Brazil
Boasting over 30 years of experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration, Michael is responsible for building customer relationships which extend our presence throughout Latin America.
everardo gomez
Managing Director – Mexico
Everardo joined Güntner in 2004 as a Thermodynamic Engineer before being appointed Managing Director in 2018. He’s passionate about customer satisfaction, looking for continuous improvement in our factories and driving innovation in our products and processes.
Rodrigo Velazquillo
Managing Director – Mexico
Rodrigo directs the company’s creative endeavors, while leading innovation in digital process. With over 19 years in the industry, his focus is on Güntner’s strategic vision, maintaining a high-performance management team and expanding into new markets.
osni caron
CEO – Brazil
Osni started his journey with us in 2008. As the CEO of Güntner Brazil, his focus is on service and building strong relationships between customers, sales and finance.
Fabricio Dedavid Nascimento
COO – Brazil
Part of the Güntner team since 2003, Fabricio joined us as a Mechanical Engineer specialising in pressure vessels and industrial refrigeration. He’s now responsible for factory operations in Brazil and global development of ECOSS.

Managing Director – APO
Glen joined Güntner in 2004 as a Sales Manager in Australia. His career at Güntner has evolved over the years, and Glen now brings his Sales and Customer Service ethos as leader of the Manufacturing and Sales Operations across the APO region.
Hendra Damardjaya
Finance & Administration Director – APO
Hendra became part of the Güntner family back in 2007. As Finance & Administration Director in our Indonesia office, he leads the support team for Indonesian operations including finance, controlling, human resources, IT and ERP.
